The Foundation” Kids with developmental problems” was established in 2006 as a juridical nonprofit entity working in public favor. We, the initiators of the Foundation, are parents of kids with developmental problems, who know the difficulties in raising them up, in their education and medical treatment and we are willing to help the other families with children suffering from cerebral palsy with attendant sensory damages, epileptic syndrome, intellectual and behavioral troubles, etc.

The main tasks we set ourselves are:

• Inform the parents about the possibilities of medical treatment and rehabilitation
• Provide moral and material support to all in need
• Support the children’s integration in order to help their normal development
• Educate Bulgarian specialists abroad
• Invite foreign specialists in Bulgaria for medical consultations



Our short-term goals are:

• Build a Center for active rehabilitation, therapeutic activities and care of kids with developmental problems. The center will be used as well as a place where the parents will be able to share their problems and receive support in their overcoming. The center will also facilitate the purchase of orthopedic means and devices and give the opportunity for their exchange between the families.
• Create an information department as a part of the center with a data base of various information regarding the rehabilitation and medical treatment of kids with developmental problems in Bulgaria and abroad.



For the purpose of our short-term goals we chose a building, located in Studentski grad district in Sofia with total area of 350 square meters. With the help of donors and friends we renewed and furnished the premises. The Information center opened doors on 27 October this year when the final touches to the interior were given. The Medical department will start working in December. A selected team of Medical Doctors, therapists and pedagogues of high qualification, devoted to help improve the life-quality of every single child with health damage will practice in the Center.




Our long-term goals are:

• Develop a center for early diagnostics of kids’ developmental problems as well as an international clinic for rehabilitation and medical treatment of kids implementing the approach of the reknown children’s center Kinderzentrum in Munich, Germany. Our idea is, to distribute all revenues, from the clinic for the treatment of Bulgarian kids, whose parents have limited financial abilities and/or reinvest them in other projects and activities supporting kids with developmental problems.
• Create a Montessori kindergarten and school, equipped according to the latest achievements, with rehabilitation halls, swimming pool, etc., where kids with developmental problems and kids without health problems will grow up all together.
• Found a club of donors – leading Bulgarian and International companies, adopting the main goals of our foundation.
